DESCRIPTION: Join our creative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Presentation Design Specialist! You'll create visually interesting and compelling graphics for PowerPoint presentations for client opportunities/meetings, conferences and marketing initiatives. This individual will be part of our in-house design team, working closely with our commercial and marketing teams to enhance our visual story-telling capabilities following brand guidelines. The ideal candidate must be a highly creative individual who is reliable, advanced to expert level in PowerPoint, team oriented, a strong communicator, detailed and can produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Expert-level proficiency with PowerPoint, including knowledge of working with and creating master templates and layouts (5+ years experience working with PowerPoint required)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, creative, collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply brand design systems through type and graphics
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines
  • Knowledge of current design trends and best practices
  • Willingness to take initiative when needed
  • Must be a team player within a remote environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain brand consistency
  • Experience optimizing file size for presentations
  • Strong organizational skills and proactive work ethic
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative capabilities required

  • An online portfolio that clearly demonstrates a solid understanding of presentation design best practices and techniques as well as a solid grasp of the traditional graphic design principles.
  • I n some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role
  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
  • Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours.
  • Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
  • Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
